Impact

We build better outcomes.

In many ways, Country-led design is a conduit for a force greater than ourselves. It draws from the human, the cultural, the spatial, and the natural.

It leads to something existing for a purpose, and the impact that purpose has on the people and the environment it is situated within.

We are proud to advocate for our community and provide a platform for Aboriginal Agency through our initiatives.

scholarships

As First Nations designers ourselves, we understand the importance of encouraging representation within our industry.

Partnering with QUT, the Blaklash Bursary Award connects Indigenous Australian students' university studies with First Nations stories and culture.

This award marks the initial step in establishing a vital program to incorporate Indigenous Australian perspectives into architecture, landscape architecture, interior architecture, and urban development.

forum

Forum is an ongoing series of conversations developed by Blaklash to amplify First Nations voices within our industry. It serves as a platform for honest discussions about the world we are collectively creating.

These discussions are crucial for fostering Country-led design outcomes, as they allow diverse perspectives and cultural insights to shape the development of our neighbourhoods, cities, and regions.

Forum continues the conversation, enhances our impact, and brings together communities to collaboratively envision a future where Country, culture, and community are at the forefront of design innovation and sustainability.

community

Creating positive social change for our community means putting our money where our mouth is.

The Blaklash Community Fund is our way of supporting education and job opportunities for our mob, through scholarships and backing grassroots community projects. With our talk series, Forum, we're donating 30% of the profits from all events to this fund and would love your support too.

The Blaklash Community Fund is our ongoing commitment to helping create more equitable and connected communities.
