Country: Yagara and Turrbal

Role: Public Art Curator

Client: Queensland University of Technology (QUT)

Location: Brisbane, Queensland

Collaborators: Gaja Kerry Charlton (Yagara Elder), Jody Rallah, Urban Art Projects

The artwork, created in collaboration with Yagara Traditional Custodians Jody Rallah and Gaja Kerry Charlton, serves as a Welcome to Country for international students and visitors.

Rallah’s work beautifully honours Country, culture, and community, with intricate patterns that forge strong connections to overlapping narratives.

The artwork invites visitors to immerse themselves as they look closer and engage with the stories of Yagara (Yuggera) Country.
